GENERAL SAFETY AND SECURITY
For the safety and protection of the student's personal belongings, students should always lock their apartment doors. Thefts should be reported promptly to a Community Advisor. Exterior doors to the residence hall are locked nightly. These doors are locked to discourage access to the residence and to provide students with a secure environment. Therefore, outside doors should not be propped open. As with any security system, the residents play a significant role in ensuring that no breach of the sysem occurs. Therefore, it is the residents' responsibility to abide by these policies. Any violation will be subject to disciplinary action. Silver Lake College does not accept responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property. It is strongly recommended that each student provide insurance for all personal property.
